Citrus County Splendor!

The Wornderful Naturecoast of Florida

The NATURE COAST of Florida

is home to 7 rivers that meander their way throughout the area, most of which are fresh water, and most of which eventually make their way to the Gulf of Mexico.

7 RIVERS OF THE AREA

♦ Crystal River
♦ Homosassa River
♦ Withlacoochee River
♦ Halls River
♦ Chassahowitzka River
♦ Salt River
♦ St. Martin Rivers

Each offer their own unique experience. All are protected to ensure that the natural beauty that we enjoy will last through the next generations!

Area vendors provide for boat rentals as well as excursions. If you are fortunate, and your timing is right, you may even get a chance to swim with our “gentle giants”, the manatee! Our area has been blessed with the annual migration of the manatee as they seek the warmer temps of our spring fed rivers that stay at a year-round temp around 72*. The species is a protected class and there are rules for interaction with them.
